MJ's fanlisting image for this time being 'coz both
Photobucket and the fanlisting page had failed me.
While checking to see what was up with MJ's page, I decided to sign up for Spider-Man also and guess who should I see listed there? None other than
Spawn! This guy's everywhere!
(Well, actually the first time I run into him in those fanlistings was in the list of
Donald Duck's!)
Ephi has been here for a week. Whew, time does fly! It doesn't feel like it's been 7 days already. But we did do a lot of things.
Let's see,
we've screened Spider-Man 2,
gone to Mangga Dua (the ultimate shopping site here in Jakarta),
...slept the tiredness away in between...
then went to meet some of her (blog) pals in PS, this upscale mall located at the centre of Jakarta. I got to go to Kinokunia again, my second visit since it had been expanded (into thrice the original size, I should say!)
Saturday we went again to Taman Anggrek and met more of her friends, yet another set of blog pals. They're great fans of mangas and animes and I must admit I never did realise that Taman Anggrek had so much stores dedicated to manga and anime.
We went into TIMEZONE for a while and I came home suffering from this cramps thanks to a few minutes I spent shooting the basket. Warning from my body: you're getting on, girl!
Udah tuaaa!!!
Ephi and I took each other on air hockey and we fought like hell. Although I was beaten silly, hahaha.
We planned to go swimming today but I dunno, Ephi mentioned she was going to meet
Lydia, an old friend who'd gotten a job here after finishing her study in Surabaya.
After all, I wasn't sure if the swimming place I used to go was still in the business!
The loudest sound of all: love unspoken.

Ephi came Sunday night and on impulse, we planned to go see Spidey on the very next day. Well, mainly due to the Monday Movie disc. too but as you all know, I'd been waiting forward to screen the movie.
And boy, was the movie something. I'd expected just the usual superhero movie but
Spider-Man 2's
way more than that.
Tears came down my face quite a few time, especially when Peter finally told his Aunt May about the night his uncle died and how he felt responsible about it.
I think Spider-Man, both the comic series and later the movies, got into the hearts of more people because the strength behind it was the story. Not quite Spidey himself and his power (although it's cool too) but mainly because the story's very real.
The main theme of this sequel, I think, was how Peter Parker was torn between his new role as Spider-Man and the life he wished he could lead with Mary Jane.
The script was very well written, my favourite scene was the one during the end of Spidey's battle against Doc Ock when MJ found out his second ID as Spider-Man.
It's actually quite a bit of a cliche but the story's gone so well and I suppose both Maguire's and Dunst's acting were of quality that it didn't came out like same old thing.
The writer had piled Peter's anguish so craftily - he was forced to hide his indentity lest his enemies would find out about MJ and hurt her. Yet he was losing MJ because of the very secret. The soundtrack and the visualisation were perfect in portraying Spidey's loneliness and heartbreak - I love the one where Peter went home with his broken bycicle, so lonely and far away from MJ while the length of the street was covered with MJ's pictures.
The soundtracks were so cool, I've already gotten myself a copy of the album! The one which had originally attracted me was Jet's
Hold On but I later fell for Yellowcard's
Gifts and Curses. It's the ultimate heartbreaking song. I also love (The?) Ataris': The Night That The Lights Went Out in New York City. We Are by Ana(?) is great, too. And also, Give It Up by Motown.
The copies of the original VCD are yet to be released, of course.
There was this moment at the very end of the movie, when Peter had to end his kiss with MJ at the sound of police's siren. MJ said, "Go get them, tiger," and Peter's eyes slowly lit up with happiness of finally having someone knowing what he was doing and waiting for him back home.
Oh boy, the movie was totally worth the money!
