Mindfield: Your Everyday Playground

Me

Me es la bonita... er... I'm not at all fluent in Spanish! Not yet.
Anyway, I'm what... a struggling artist first and a desperate student next :) I hope to be an illustrator but I'd like to make my first million by publishing this novel I've been writing (not all the time) enthusiastically
My current obsessions are football, as you all may see from all the entries, and of course Paul Walker, and Ben Affleck and Tobey Maguire and el mejor portero, Casillas!

Amigas

People whose names you might see from time to time...
Ephi: Lil sis, 20, my webmistress :) We share the same illogical craving for chocolate!!!
Phoebe: Friend, 21, hi-school chum. Treat her with Veritaserum [ref. Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire] and you can get into all my deepest and darkest secrets!
Nina: Friend, 25, housemate. Share almost all my interests; my passion for literature, classic novels and all kind of books – good movies, political, societal and cultural ideas, late 80s songs, good, tasty food even football, though she prefers that King Kong Michael Ballack.
Irwin: Mi querido! 27, highbrow exec. First impression: nice, serious, serious and serious. Now that I’ve come to know him: wonderfully crazy, enthusiastically lunatic and great fun!
Edwin: Cousin, 24, lowbrow businessman. The most refreshing young man in the city. No pretense whatsoever, wonderfully original and with a complete disregard on what people think of him.
Nora: Friend, 22, housemate. For richer or poorer... if such thing exist between friends! We borrow the most ridiculous things from each other whenever money’s tight and tummies are singing: sugar, instant noodles, eggs, anything.
Cindy: Dog, 5, crazy companion. The craziest, funniest and sweetest creature on earth, and mind the order of priority.

Finally an inquiry for a graphic designer
Alas, the inquirer was an interior design co. and they wanted someone who cud operate AutoCad n 3D Max. 3D Max was something I was supposed to know (actually, I do not) but Auto Cad was way, way out of reach.
Meaning I am barely patient with pure Graphic programmes, don't even tell me I have to put up with more software!!!
I hate whoever it was who invented digital imaging!!! I know it's supposed to make things easier and faster but I hate it all the same.
Anyway, now that most of the Leagues are over (with the exception of darling La Liga) I'm turning my attention toward tennis. Saw a superb game of all Spanish semifinal last night. Man, they're good. And although I didn't initially know how Ferrero plays, I was supporting him 'coz he's young and had inspired me before.
He's kinda cute too, though of late I don't really dig that kind of look anymore. (Much more into his compatriot, Tommy Robredo: white-collared Raúl!)
Anyway, he and Albert Costa really did show a fantastic semifinal match last night. Costa, being the challenged last year winner, never wavered, even after losing the first 2 sets.
One thing I noticed as strange was the fact that psychology speaking, it was Ferrero who was supposed to be mentaly labil. But no, he pulled every game and set off even after being left with 0-3 or 0-40. Costa, on the other hand, usually superior when servicing, committed 2 double fault therefore losing an important game - if I recalled it right, it was on the brink of earning his 5th point on a set.
I forgot what JC won before but it seems like the clay field is quite his match. He's a bit thin for an athlete but apparently being lightweight and agile is frequently the key to win on clay ground.
Anyway, Ferrero's strong points are as follows: he's confident on executing a wide shot. Absolutely marvellous. At least twice he scored without Costa being able to do anything about that. And when it was his turn to serve, he could dictate his opponents to run where he wanted them to and finally, putting them on the wrong footing, smashed in a scoring ball. Fantastic.
Next, he's dilligent. Last night I counted at least two long rallies where Costa had him running quite around the field yet it was JC who won the point. Even more, he actually ran to return a ball which was actually out. The commentator kindly said that that was very sporting of him.
The final's 2moro night. ¡Hasta pronto, Juan Carlos!
Meanwhile, early next morning Spain will be up against Greece. Easy game, I should think, but RCTI have it on the Live! section so, why waste it? ¡Un beso muy grande, Iker! ¡Te quiero mucho!

Disaster, noone seems to want a graphic designer anymore!!!
My headache continue... I fear, depression is also sinking in... Gosh, I hated it. I wished so badly I never would encounter it no more yet, here it comes...
Dave Barry consoles me effectively, as always. Dave Barry for president!!!

A somewhat depressing week. True, Milan won the Champion's League but otherwise, I'm not feeling very good...
I'm hugely worried about school and financial things, and am seriously afraid of Sundays. Irwin's in mortal danger of being bashed in the head and screamed at.
I think I swallowed the whole sheet of Panadol (I suppose it could be described as the counterpart of aspirint) during the week.
Hey, Steve-O!!! Is that really you??? Stop saying that useless 'Hallo? Hallo?', you're embarrassing me!!! Leave a message anytime you want and tell me what you think about the entries. Down MU!!! *laugh*

Hah. It's Tuesday again and somehow I've missed Sunday and Monday.
Well, not exactly. I have no recollection whatsoever about what happened on Sunday, except that I watched Valencia vs. Madrid very early in the morn but afterward, it's blank.
Monday started only after I took my bath which was late in the afternoon and Nora asked me to tag along to call her Mum. Afterward, we hang out in Nina's room, chatting about (the usual with Nora) celebrities.
Nina has an amazing collection of great movies and I usually depend on her to be my Blockbuster movie rental. I took Mulan, The Emperor's New Groove, Showtime and Behind Enemy Lines to accompany me working on another set of logos. Did I mentioned that my assistant rejected all 15 alternatives I made before?
Anyway, I have now 6 brand new alt., one creditted to Mulan and two to Owen Wilson. The other three...? No comment.
Time's flying by... I didn't realise it's almost time for Champion's League final. It's tomorrow night, man! Pippo seemed calm and so did Signor Carlo. I hope things would go well.
Final exam next month and I'm seriously behind schedule, both on DKV 5 and DKV 1. Everyone, please, pray for me!!!

Mourning time is over... Madrid had made a superb come back by beating Málaga 5-1 and Iker had his birthday yesterday, 22 finally! ¡Feliz cumpleaños!
Anyway, I kind of like the black background, so I think I'll just let it be even though it's past fasting and crying time ;)
At least, until I find the time to design a new layout!

Inggrid called and woke me up after barely 3 hours of sleep!
Well, not her fault, I gotta say. Of all the ppl in the world it was her who knows very well that I'm a bear when waken without consent ;) and she had wisely chosen to call at some mts past 11.
Alas, I had just finished working on my logos (not to be colored yet, only dummy sketches - I've got a total number of 15 alternatives!) and had only fallen asleep around 8 AM.
Anyway, she was looking for the old, faithful masseuse 'coz she's fallen off the stairs and now her ass' hurt!
That cousin of mine wasn't someone you'd call brash and vulgar but she never hesitated in using the most straight forward words! *grin*
I watched three movies while working on my precious logos... First my most fave. Indian movie (Yes, sis, Indian movie and you can put your eyes back in!) Aankhen. It was an action-comedy of 3 blind ppl recruited to rob a bank. It's totally hilarious and starred by mere pyaar *sigh* Arjun Rampal. Sushmita Sen played also and I believe I can never find a more divine Indian woman.
Second, all time fave. flick, Jerry Maguire. Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Oscar for that movie and he deserved it, period. Moreover, the story is, I dunno, so very powerful and real... and the scene where Dorothy realised she'd fallen for Jerry while he was serenanded with the Spanish v. of The Words Got In The Way... that was the most beautiful romantic scene ever.
Third, brace yourself, baby... It's Bugs Bunny Easter Funnies! Yes, people, I bought 2 copies I think, of Bugs Bunny's cartoon when I fell in love for the guy who was Bugs from Aussie Universal Studio!
