Is that correct? The song, I mean. I heard Written often here (the browsing centre) but am not sure if it's a Westlife song. I think I recognise Shane's voice (oh, how I love that voice!) but well, I haven't been keeping up with Westlife the way I did before.
Shane's got that heartbreaking sound in him that once prompted me to go out at once and lay my hand on the first copy of their second album I could get - wherein the single Soledad resides.
It still got to me until now. Whenever I heard Soledad, Flying Without Wings, Tonight or Written in The Stars. Oh, Shane... how could you not marry MEEE?!! ^_^
I got into the tangled webs of fanlisting some weeks ago and though Friendster had rescued me from pratically flooding my own blog with fanlisting little images (see left column). Still, it's strange that there's absolutely no fanlisting for HOMER SIMPSON. Very, very strange!
I got myself listed in Clay's, for the obvious reason - Iker's for the same obvious reason, namely that I'm both's greatest fan. DONALD DUCK 'cos I always love him among the many Disney characters - that lovely temper of his... so reminiscent of my own!
STEVEN GERRARD 'cos he's so young and yet has achieved so much, with so much more to come - and best feature, has still managed to keep his feet on the ground, much like Iker.
DAVE BARRY 'cos well, how can't I? That's the guy never yet fails to make me, not only smile, but laugh uproariously and scared some of the cutest guys at the browsing centre.
MOONY alias Professor Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter series. He's an outcast, being a werewolf and most of the time unemployed plus avoided by the community, yet he strive through it all - never fails to be the nice person that he is.
FRED and GEORGE WEASLEY, well, they're inspirations! Outrageously wild pranksters, sharp-tounged (though a little less than younger bro, Ron) and yet managed to stay true to important values, loyal to their family and are true, reliable friends.
BORDER COLLIE 'cos after the retrievers, they're the most beautiful dogs in the world. What's more, the first dog in my life, Cindy, though of uncertain descendant, looks like one. Just look at the image - what d'you think, sis?
Collies run around a LOT, which is very evident in Cindy. (She's actually owned by my cousin Edwin but he and I brought her home together and I always thought Cindy considers me as her co-owner.) Edwin's got a very vast backyard and Cindy would spend half her day just running round and round and round... When she's back to seeking constant attention, we'd joke her, "Done with the fitness routine there?"
Cindy's a tough girl. Actually, it's hard to keep typing "she" and "her" 'cos I hardly ever thought of her as a female. She's ferocious, loud and excessively brassy.
There's this great, white, alpha male dog ruling the neighbourhood. We didn't now its name, we just called it "Putih" (=white). What did Cindy do to him? The first moment she laid her eyes on him, she instantly recognised him as the alpha and decided to knock him out. And she did, literally! Neck's fur standing, Cindy dashed right up and knock him over. Putih bowled over, his four feet high up in the air. I bet he never had such a surprise.
Edwin's Mom had this small enterprise, making sets of bedsheets. Once they got this lovely pattern, like a tartan but prettier in deep burgundy. There were usually strips of fabric left after cutting and Aunt Helen tied it around the beautiful one, Pinky (Cindy's offspring). Pinky's got this smooth, silky black coat and a burst of startling white furs down her breast - it makes her looks like she's wearing tuxedo. The makeshift ribbon looked pretty on her neck. Cindy? She let it on for a while out of respect for Aunt Helen and tugged it out of the way once Auntie's gone.
Later, we collect the other leftover strips of fabric and tied them all over Cindy, making her looking like a mummy on the run. She trotted around the house, never once tugging at the wrap, looking distincly proud. She's definitely not a "her"!

|Listening to: Have Fun Go Mad
Ha. EURO 2004's coming!!! As if on cue, my sleeping hours has adjusted itself. Am now falling asleep near dawn, which sucks, but would come in handy by the time the matches begin.
The Germans pooled in a spectacular win night before last, 7-2; against Malta. The opponent being Malta, it's not that big a surprise but still 7 goals... it must've been fun watching. Ballack, whom almost everybody at the boarding house adore, scored 4 goals.
There are many others friendly game at the wake of the biggest socer's event this year but, upon hearing the participants, my head lolled over and I fell asleep. RCTI aired just such a game last night: Barcelona All Star vs. The Rest of The World (what a name!)
Ricky Jo, the presenter joked that it's an U-40 game. Well, those playing were some of the greatest players during the last decade but then again, there's nothing much at stake (if not at all!) and oh, boy, were they old. I mean, 10 minutes into the game, some of them already looked like hell. Sorry boys, not at your prime anymore!
Hristo, however, justified the many adoration he received at the beginning of the match by scoring an artful goal only 3 minutes into the game. ¡Magnifico!
I was wondering which country would win this... I side with Spain only coz of Iker and Joaquin. The squad itself is quite lacking in every area, especially with Iker falling down from GRACE! Up front we have Raúl and Morientes... Raúl had been much blunted by playing Ronaldo's sidekick, not as sharp as he used to be. Morientes, well, I hope all the victories he secured for Monaco would heighten his confidence.
Midfield... hmmm. Don't have much confidence in others but Joaquin and maybe, Valeron. And don't get me started on the subject of defense. If ever there was a worst defense, I don't know.
Spain lacks good defense, Italy lacks good midfielders, Englad lacks a good goalkeeper and the Portugueses are generally old! Ha. But then again, some people said it's the golden year of a footballer, so let's see. In general, I believe Portugal has more chances to win comparing to Spain.
D'you know? Having a crush, again after all these years, is a good thing. I'm in a much cheerful state than I've ever been in so long.
It's this incredibly handsome boy I saw every weekend typing his work here. Gosh, he's probably some high school kid but he's nice enough to wait around when I was all alone at the browsing center. Hope he got an older brother.
Just finish yet another book of John Irving. I'd read it before (The Cider House Rules) but it had belong to my cousin and it took a while to remember that Cider had been the most incredibly beautiful book I've ever read.
I remember vividly how I thought that there was a book that could make you laugh and cry at the same time. The paternal love Dr Wilbur Larch felt for the orphan Homer Wells hits very close to home. It remind me of my father in all his awkward ways of showing love I could never doubt.
Ahh , Irving's works. I can never get enough. Too bad, in all the bookstores I've strom in every time I got extra cash, there's only a meager count of his works. Quality Buy carries only two titles! (158-Pounds Marriage and The Fourth Hand) Blah.
