Many addictions, many indulgements!
I was doing nothing late afternoon last Saturday and ended up watching American Idol. Clay, you're killing me!
I didn't remember anything else as I sat transfixed with his voice. After the song Somewhere Out There was over, I was somewhere out there!!! There were actually tears in my eyes - now, that was more than telling something.
Anyway, I searched for him here in the Internet and found out he's only runner up... Damn, Simon must be bummed!
Was it Ruben? If it's him, then OK., I like the bear a lot. His voice's amazing too, so "round" and clear, and when he sang A Whole New World it was like the song was written exclusively for him.
But still, Clay's was the one I waited to hear again and again and again. I can't believe it had such an aenesthetic power.
Aside from Clay's voice, I'm now seriously addicted to IFU MIE!!! There's this Chinese deli almost right across the street - you could find me any given time there, hair yet to be brushed and eyes still half-opened, waiting for my dish.
They cook Chinese the way my late grandma did. Nuff said. And since the cook's in love with me, I could always get porky portion!
Next, and my uncle John's to blame, I'm crazy for BreadTalk's Fire Floss. Cuz Ayu had told me that stuff's good but well, I don't take any teenager seriously (my fault, yes, and somehow the word "pig" could be heard somewhere). Anyway, Uncle John texted me one day, telling me he's at Plaza Indonesia and was going to BreadTalk. Given my serious addiction to any kind of bread, he asked if there were anything spesific I'd like him to bring home.
Fire Floss came out, merely coz that's the only thing I knew about BreadTalk's product.
Boy, was it good! The bread was exactly like breads the way people made bread in Ambon: soft, munchy and sweet. True old, Dutch bread.
Due to watching La Liga last weekend, I'd gone late at night to buy some at Taman Anggrek and they're still good until now. 'Mazing.
Speaking of La Liga, the match between Betis and Madrid went somewhat boring. They played all the 45 min x 2 but the ball was effective for less than half of it!
Betis' attacks were aggressive and they did score first at 34'. It was a given, Iker blocked the first attempt which was shot from the left but the ball landed on Joaquin's feet and both Iker and Carlos misjudged Joaquin's shot - they both lunged down thinking it was a lower kick. Alas, Joaquin tipped it upward and sent the ball home quite easily.
Ronnie scored equaliser during second half with one of his super classic shot. Very, very extreme angle, no more than 30 degree against the goal post, I think. Genious.
Man of The Match: Joaquin, of course. He played as beautiful as ever, never wavered, never hesitated; beautiful dribble and confident shots. Bravo!

New Layout
|Listening to: Once In A Blue Moon - Sidney Forest
Ha. This new one is quite a success! All credit again, goes to my lil sis but I do pride myself as the original conceptor of this.
Amazingly, working on the new layout as my brithday gift, sis was also thinking about using the same color scheme, the same image - that maple leaves... it was kinda eerie.
Cheers to WJ who'd dropped by, flaterring both the layout design and a non-existance poetry skill of mine! But well, who am I to refuse a well-meaning praise?
The poetical prose I wrote in the entry "Crossroads" was taken from this song I only know as sang by Ronan Keating (knowing him, I think it's a recycled) called Long Goodbye.
Anyway, from WJ's place, I surfed through and tumbled on these blocks. Ah, the world of ITs' geniouses.
Speaking of geniouses: me, too, Alex, me tooooo!!! I thought you didn't care much about layout *meaningful look*
But well, I myself wouldn't think much about changing this layout for some time... it's brand new, it's something I would create had I been able to code this thing... I'm hopeless at coding!
Am sending my work to the editor. Tedious work! The scanned pics meant to be some of illustrations are quite big in size and to top it, I didn't know Mail.com's limit for attachment. Typical.
Am tired of these tough-chicks I saw on TV. First it was that "cold Russian" in VIP, then the girls in She Spies(?) and the last one I saw a couple of nights ago, Birds of Prey.
They all (1)swagger in this horrible, very self-concious style, (2)blurt out harsh words meant to shock and to look cool - where they fail miserably. More like a teenage trying to give heart attack to the poor parents, (3)wear leather and all-black. Must be exceptionally brutal and mean, (4)and they ALL don't trust men or at least had been deeply disappointed by men.
Now, that's the dumbest thing a supposedly strong, self-respecting woman could do. I mean, so OK., we've all been there but to change completely and becoming this self-pitying person...
Stupid serials.
Still I can't help but liking Jessica Alba in Dark Angel. She managed to avoid this sense of typicalism and live up the character Max. You go, girl!
Saw one of the few romantic flicks I like the other night. No, not Pretty Woman, though I like it too. It's one starred by my dear boy, Sean Patrick Flanagan *drool*
Simply Irresistible is always irresistible to me. They ran it late last night but I immediately perched on the thin couch outside and watched on.
Then I heard this song, the one they played as Sarah Michelle Gellar was leaving the building after her successful night... Mmmm. I wouldn't be surprised if they based the whole story on the inspirations the song brought alone. Beautiful one, that Once In A Blue Moon by Sidney Forest.
Iker's up against Joaquin this weekend!!! I'd be on my toes the whole game! May the best man win! *grin*
